Scribus is one of my favorite open source programs. It is one of my favorites but it is really hard to explain what it is. Scribus is an Open Source Page Layout Program for Desktop Publishing.

What the heck does that even mean?

Well have you ever wanted to create a document to print out where the layout was important, like an event flyer or a resume? Have you gone to create the document in Microsoft Word of Google Docs and struggled to create a nice layout? If you were wondering why it is so hard and certain there must be an easier way? You are right! That is what Scribus is for!

Anything and everything you could ever want to print out you can set up and design in this powerful but easy to learn piece of software. Did I mention it is free? Because it is!
