Barnyard Buddies

By

I created a coloring book and published it on Amazon KDP. A short and simple book based around some animal friends who live on a farm together.

I drew all the images in Krita and did all the page layouts and cover in Scribus. It was my first coloring book and it shows. I didn’t know that single page printing was basically required for a fun experience. I didn’t really know how to fill out the book description and panicked, procrastinating on it for ages.

That’s why I am making Barnyard Buddies Second Edition. I am going to make every page single side printed. I am going to update the cover. I am going to make each page more interesting. Most importantly, I am going to actually fill out the product description section instead of procrastinating my project into failure.

I made the book because I love to color. I find the motion of colored pencil across paper to be soothing, and the blending of colors to be endlessly enjoyable. I made it because I love animals, especially farm animals. I got embarrassed of this sincere motivation and forced a flub at the last moment. It is so much easier to pretend that I have been creating for some get rich quick scheme than admit my childish delights.

Coloring is fun for everyone. I am excited to add to that.
